The shirt says it all
Lydia got a gift certificate to a great baby boutique in Salina called Simply Baby and More. It's full of really sweet boutique-y, out of the ordinary clothes and baby things. I saw this awesome, cheeky shirt and had to get it. She also got a great outfit that you would expect to see in that kind of store, but this is the one that made the blog. And I am purposely omitting the obvious joke concerning Rusty and this shirt in his size. Why? Because my mother and mother-in-law read this blog. Often.

The Dennis' Christmasessesss
Fair Warning: This slideshow contains 92 pictures of my kids enjoying their many Christmas moments and gifts. They are pictures that, really, only I and the grandmas can stand. Open at your own risk.

Oh, to be a fly on our wall!
Man, does he have some mad skills or what! Even Napoleon Dynamite would say in disgust, "Lucky!" Every year for the past 4 or so years, Cade has looked forward to this particular scene in A Charlie Brown Christmas so he can dance along with the characters. This year, however, it seems somebody else was looking forward to it...
A Favorite Tradition Continues
This week some of our favorites were on. As I've stated on a previous post, Cade (and let's be honest, I do it, too) looks for the Charlie Brown specials. This time it was "I Want a Dog for Christmas" and "A Charlie Brown Christmas." A new one this year was The Muppets Letters to Santa. Growing up, it was never Christmas without The Muppets Emit Otter's Jugband Christmas. Anybody else out there remember that one? It was my favorite!
A-caroling We Go!
Monday evening Cade and his Boy Scout Troop went caroling at 2 nursing homes. The boys did a really good job and enjoyed bringing some Holiday cheer to the residents. On a similar note, if you have loved ones in nursing facilities, please be sure to take time out of your busy schedule (yes, we all have them!) and visit them. They really, really need it and enjoy it.

Busy, busy week!
We've had a very busy week already and we're only half way through it! I'll be posting pictures as fast as I can. Keep an eye out for them.
The School Program
Our busy week started off with Cade's Christmas program for school. Each class only sang 2 songs, but they did a great job! I may be biased, but we have some excellent soloists in our school. And you've gotta love the fact that they didn't turn on the stage lights. I mean, really, how can you put on a concert on a stage like this one AND NOT TURN ON THE STAGE LIGHTS!?!?!? I was so annoyed. The pictures turned out crummy because of it. And you've gotta love the shots of the class with some guy's gray, balding head in them. I did my best to crop it out of some of them.

Can you believe this?
I actually remembered to pack my camera for our Thanksgiving trip and I forgot to bring it out until about 30 minutes before we left my Grandma Ellie's house on Thanksgiving Day. We were in Salina for four days, at both of our parent's homes, even our beautiful nieces were in town and these are the only pictures I took.
Anyway, this is my cousin Chris' children, Sammy and Sophia. She's not crying, she's totally telling her mommy, Hilary, something very important in the picture above.

It's Her Party and She'll Cry If She Wants To
The Tradition Continues...
It's the Thanksgiving Day traditional football game (no, not the Cowboys!) where Lucy pulls the ball away just as Charlie Brown is about to kick it.
Cade and Rusty went to Aunt Jenny's house to help celebrate Dustan's 18th b-day, so he wasn't here to enjoy the show with us. Lydia and I stayed at home since Lydia wasn't feeling well.
