So we've been going to the home Washburn games for a couple weeks now.  Been lazy about posting all the pictures I've taken at all of them, too.  These are from our last home game.  It was pretty exciting because the game was being televised on NATIONAL TELEVISION.  The air around campus was electric and you could definitely tell it was a special night.
Cade's friend Riley joined us as well.  The pictures are acting funny again.  Not sure why they're coming up fuzzy.

Standard Ichabod tail gating fare.

Lydia's not a hot dog eater.

Lydia put on her own little pep rally for the folks in our area.
Wish I would've have videoed it.

Go Blue!
Go White!
C'mon Bods, Let's FIGHT!

She was actually doing her routine from cheernastics, too!

Waiting patiently to get her photo taking with the cheer squad.

    She was in heaven!
(and maybe I was too..just a little..)

 This picture cracks me up!
It looks like the gal in front of me has man hands.

Just something about a night game.
They had to bring extra lighting for the broadcast.

 Speaking of broadcast...

I know we watch many DI games on TV all the time, but seeing Washburn on national television completely blew my mind.  If you had the chance to see the game, you know how spectacular WU looked.  I'm still blown away and proud that we had the opportunity to represent the MIAA on the CBS sports network.
Oh!  Washburn beat Missouri Western State University 41-20.
Go Bods!

Ready? DODGEBALL!

Saturday night was the annual Mater Dei Trivia night.  Last year was our (Rusty, me, Tim and Tammy) first time attending.  We took second or third place with our "Table Divided" theme.  We were robbed.  We had every KU and KSU piece of paraphernalia you can imagine.  We even had lights.  LIGHTS! So I knew if we were going to compete again this year, we'd have to bring it.  And bring it we did.
And in true underdog fashion, the Average Joe's won first place in the table decorating!  We might not have been smart enough to win the overall trivia competition, we were pretty enough to win best table.
Now let me ask you:
Could Tim be a more convincing Patches O'Houlihan?

"Is it necessary for me to drink my own urine?
No, but I do it anyway because it's sterile and I like the taste."

"Yarr, I be the dread pirate Steve.  And this be my wench, arrrrgghhh
Now Steve has to drain the sea monster."

"I like...unicorns."
"If you can dodge a wrench, you can dodge a ball."

"Aim low!"
Because my friends are so freakin' awesome, we stole the show!
Not sure how we're going to top it next year, but I think we're all up for the challenge.

Hallelujah! I've Been Redeemed-duh!

Meet my new friend.  I've made peace with the old and buried it.
No more shocked looks of horror and double takes.
This is me and no one will question it again.
Thank god.

Reviewing another favorite teams's loss

As I sit lamenting KU's first and only (thank goodness) loss of the year, I remembered that I hadn't posted the pics from the Boston game that Rusty took me and the kids to for an early birthday celebration.  I was hoping to see Wakefield get his 200th win, but it was not to be.  It was a wicked pissah.  There was no Youkilis.  No Becket.  No Big Papi!!! However.  Saltalamacchia was there.  Scutaro was there. So was Adrian Gonzales and Pedroia.  Plus some others, but mama was very happy nonetheless.
As an added bonus, my little bro was at the game!  And we had great seats.  Gotta love StubHub!

Now, I know it's no Fenway, but the K is pretty sweet.
No Green Monstah, but there is a great fan experience in and around the stadium.

A little pre-game show during our PrrrrrrrrICE Chopper tail gate.

Not sure what music she was hearing, but she sure was jamming to it.

Getting warmed up to catch some fly balls.

Scut. Ah. ROH!

Can you see Jaime?  He's the one in blue!

Let's go Red Sox!
clap, clap, clap, clap, clap

Saltalamacchia.
Could there be a cooler last name than that?
Well.  Besides, Dennis.  Duh.

Awwww, Jaime!  Watch the game!

Shout out!

Fraternizing.

Which one of these is not like the others?
Which one of these just isn't the same?
(Can you tell which one is the rookie?)

Probably the one with the Justin Bieber backpack.
Hilarious.

Saltalamacchia and Wakefield strategizing.

A house divided.

Enjoying the pregame fireworks.

Predroia the Destroyah.
He really is smaller in person.

Saltalamacchia looks...even better in person?

He had a bit of a rough night, dang it.
Next to the Hos, Pedroia looks like a 10 year old!

Check out the wicked knucklah.

Pedroia getting down and dirty.

Batter.  UP!

The Royal's Thunder.
Apparently it's a drum line made up of drummers from Joplin, MO.
Frank and Ryan interviewing...ummm...I don't know.

What!?  You try entertaining a 3 year old for 9 innings!
She's still wicked smaaht, so no worries.

That's Saltalamacchia sliding into home.
Safe!

Tie went to the runner.

And here, too.
Although, Wakefield seems to disagree.

Francona, et al.
Salty trying to talk some sense into Wakefield.

Tsk.
Didn't take to the advice.

Would've been nice to see him get his 200th.
Would've been nice just to see Boston with a W that night.

Yo, Adrian!
Gonzo with a little dribble down the first base line.

She's my little light brown monstah.

It was a gorgeous night and perfect for baseball.

Hosmer and his no look scoop.

WHAT could she possibly be asking that player that is of any relevance?
Yeah, Boston lost.  Yeah, a lot of players I was hoping to see weren't there.
But I had a blast and got to get my Beantown Swaggah on.  I'm pretty sure the rest of the fam did, too.
Thanks for a great Saturday night, Rusty.
