So last Saturday was MIAA night at the T-Bones game in KC. Once again, Washburn had a great turn out and the weather was pretty nice. A little toasty at first, but beautiful by the 5th or 6th inning.
What tailgate in KC is complete without QT drinks?
Cade posing with Sizzler.
I hope they pay this guy well for sporting this get up in the heat.
And then out of nowhere, Lydia spies Sizzler and says, 'Can I go give him a high five?'
Now, if you follow this blog at all, you know all about Lydia's hangups with mascots.
We had actually spent the better part of an hour trying to distract her from spotting him as well as the Pitt State Gorilla that was prowling around their tent.
While she gave him a high five, I casually suggested she pose for a picture.
Who knew?
Our friend Scott and his son Cooper joined us again for some Chopper Chicken.
Man.
I guess now I see why most of the girls at school swoon whenever Cade walks into a room.
Only in Kansas would there be a milking contest between innings of a minor league baseball team.
Hold up. Is that...?
Sure is! It's Frank White!
Hey. Don't judge. You do what you have to to get through the games.
Rusty put on his rally hat to try to get something started for the T-Bones.
The fireworks after the game was an added bonus.
