4th of July Memories

As with every 4th of July, I do my best to get pictures of my second favorite holiday. This year, I had my big girl camera, so I got to take some big girl pictures*.

*Read: there is a ridiculous amount of photos in this post.

First up, we went to the Beymer's annual party.
Lydia got to do sparklers, or as she called them, 'sticks', for the first time.

This had 'not such a good idea' written ALLLLLL over it!

Fortunately, they were able to chase this lantern down before the wind carried too far off and onto a neighbors roof.

This year Cade really got into lighting the fireworks.
I loved how excited he got about it.

Next up is the Boleski party.
We started off swimming in the pool, which, huh.
Didn't seem to get any pictures of that.
Can't imagine why...

Back in action.


So Lydia loves to sing.
Anytime. Anywhere.

She even convinced these 2 to be back up.

Our neighbor Brian came over to enjoy what little night works we had left.

Lydia got tired of her poppers not popping when she threw them.
She just went around stomping them.

Then when she got tired, she just stomped in place.

We could see Topeka Country Club's fireworks show from our drive way this year.

I actually love how the trees' silhouettes look in front of the fireworks.

I decided to move down the block a couple houses and I was able to get these photos.

This one reminds me of a perm that's gone horribly, horribly wrong.
